Participation in the Conference “Autarchies, Companies and Citizens”
Portugal Smart Cities Summit 2021 opened its doors on the 16th of November 2021 with the Conference “City Councils, Companies and Citizens” entitled “Challenges for the Cities of the Future”.
This session was inaugurated by the Minister of Environment João Pedro Matos Fernandes. Subsequently, President Joaquim Santos presented the measures adopted in the municipality of Seixal, as well as future projects for Adaptation to Climate Change. Among them, the green hydrogen project, the first carried out in Portugal and born from the initiative of Gestene, a company in the municipality, an example that marks a new era in renewable energies at the service of populations, the economy and the planet.
